Enjoy the small things

Hi everybody,

Jill here, and today, I am looking forward to, what will hopefully be, a beautiful Spring...

...with a sweet, simple, pastel, Paper Smooches scene.

If you got the chance to check out our 'favourites of 2015' blog series at the end of last year, you'll know Paper Smooches made a massive come back for me last year - and this cute little 'Birds' die was another knock-out in my opinion.  What can I say?  It is just soooo sweet!

I cut my pieces and coloured them all with my Copics, leaving the outline edge white.
I then created a soft pastel watercolour wash background using Distress Ink, added a few flicks and splashes to it, and adhered my pieces in place.  I wanted my card to be a nod towards the new, upcoming year, looking forward to Spring and new things to come, so thought this sentiment from 'Eveyday Sentiments' would work perfect.  I stamped it out and heat embossed in Black Sparkle for a little extra interest.

I wanted to keep my card as sweet and simple as the scene that inspired it so, after adding a quick slick of Glossy accent to my cute little birdies, decided to leave it there.

I really hope you like it.  As always, everything I used can be found in the beautiful new store, and is all linked up below.

See you next week.
