Coughs and Sneezes

Hi there :)

Yes I'm dwelling on those seasonal ailments today with a get well card and
simple packaging for pocket tissues to go with it :)

I've used the Teacher Talk stamp set by Lil Inkers, I just couldn't resist when I saw the pattern possibilities using the apples in the set..... very Orla Keily-esque!!! I love that all the decorative elements are separate and you have three different styles of apple too :)

I stamped a panel of card with the apples and cut it with the wonky stitched rectangles then
added a sentiment from All about Ampersand.

Did you see the the clever way the card stands?? I've used the Card Easel dies from Avery Elle and they work so well.... as you can see in the photo below, you have to make sure your card front is trimmed a little shorter than the back so the easel element works.... just remove a strip that's about the same depth as the die.

The dies are of course made for American A2 size cards but you can still use them on UK sized cards too! This is an A6 card and the difference in size means the upward pointing prongs are a little narrower because the card base is not as wide as the die.

The simple packaging for the tissues is a couple of cardstock bands and I made
an opening using a stitched arch die from MFT but half a circle would
work just as well... you will need to
partial cut any shape to make it a flap anyhow

To keep the flap closed you can just slide the patterned band upwards and then down
to open and pull a tissue :) It's just a shame the tissue packaging is the wrong shade of green!!

I think this little gift set would brighten anyone's day especially if they are feeling
a little under the weather :)
Here are the links to the products I used...
