Invitations

If you want to make money from your hobby, then making wedding invites is a great way to do it and as soon as I saw the new invitation sets from Mama Elephant I could see their money making potential - especially with those scripty fonts that do all the hard work for you so I've knocked up a couple of examples.

Firstly, a save the date card.  I used the fabulous Flower Turnaround stamp from Concord and 9th  using 5 shades of pastel inks to create a subtle background and then stamped the Save the Date scroll from Invitation Wishes over the top in black.

For the second card I went very traditional white on white with a delicate white die cut and embossed sentiment.  I die cut Detailed Blooms from Concord and 9th twice from white wood grain vellum with stick-it on the rear to avoid those horrid "how do you stick down vellum" issues.  I adhered them top and bottom of the card to form a subtle frame and then simply embossed the "you're invited" sentiment in the centre with Golden Peach powder from AlteNew as Rose Gold is the "in" colour for weddings this season so I'm told ;-)

You can use the co-ordination DIY Invitation stamp set to create the insides or check out the variety of other invitation stamps and dies we have in our invitation categor

NEWS FROM THE STORE

We're away this weekend so not much to update you on - we will be catching up on order packing but will have stamping bella online by the end of the week and with luck our brand new brand too!

We also have some new Halloween themed products from Echo Park which will be live shortly.

Our AlteNew restock order which was mistakenly shipped a slow method is now in customs hell and we've had to produce a load more paperwork to try and get it cleared.  With any luck it will move by the end of the week and we'll have it online the week after.

Thank you to everyone who's sent birthday wishes to Rick - he's really chuffed as we say in Yorkshire ;-)

Catch you next weekend

Tara
