Crafty Gift Boxes for Crafty Friends

Hey stampers, Anni here!

Over here in Germany it is a very exciting weekend for the crafting community! It is Stempel Mekka, a creative fair especially for stamping.

And the best thing about it is to finally meet all the crafty friends you met online. And of course we exchange little gifts.

For this occassion I made A LOT of (over thirty) Lawn Fawn's Tiny Gift Boxes. These boxes are really cute and so so tiny.

To decorate these boxes I used Concord & 9th's Crafty Die. I die cut the scissors and the stamp out of scraps from my stash - the perfect time to use up all the bits and pieces that I always collect. I chose those pieces that were big enough to cut out the rubber of the stamp or rather the handle of the scissors and banner for the sentiment so they would match.

For the sentiment I used My Favorite Things' Stitched Sentiment Strip. And the crafty texts came from two set by Altenew called Crafty Life and Crafty Friends.

Do you go to creative fairs? Do you go for buying new stuff or to meetfreinds of the community?

Hope you have as much fun as I will have this weekend.

Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Envelopes

Hey stampers, Anni here!

When you are following this blog on a regular basis you might have heard about my nephews! I have four! All in the age between 14 and 21 - not easy to make cards for. But I have to say I am lucky. They appreciate the handmade cards they get from their aunt!

Today two of them (twins) turn 18 - yeah, majority! For this occassion I made two small envelopes to put the gift in it.

For these envelopes I used Mama Elephant's Venice Envelope. I decorated them matching the hobbies of my nephews.
The first one likes to go fishing. So I went with Lawn Fawn's You Are Sublime. To personalize the envelope I added the age using My Favorite Things' Little Numbers.

The second one likes to paint - Concord & 9th Crafty die for the win. I sprinkled the background with paint for a little bit of an artsy look.

On the backside of the envelopes I added one of the hearts from Lawn Fawn's Heart Dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a crafty weekend.

Happy Crafty New Year!

Hey stampers, Anni here!

Happy Crafty New Year to all of you! Hope your holidays were awesome and you found some time to play with the new goodies you hopefully got.
I started the new year with a crafty card using the fanatstic dies by Concord and 9th called Crafty Dies.

I started by die cutting all the pieces several times. For the handle of the stamp and the brush I used wood veneer paper and for the scissors silver cardstock. For the other parts I used scraps from my stash.
The die cuts are easy to assemble because the dies are so well thought-out. You get one "basic" piece you can adhere the details to - very easy to do!

Because I made this card for a crafty friend of mine, I wanted to include "crafty" in the sentiment. So I had to create my own sentiment. For that I used (one of my favourite) alphabet dies: Bottlecap Letters by My Favorite Things. I die cut the letters I needed from white cardstock and coloured them with an alcohol marker matching the crafty tools. I added the word Crafty by stamping and heat embossing it in white on a piece of cardstock. The word crafty is part of a sentiment from Concord & 9th's Crafty Turnabout stamp set.

For a little bit of sparkle I added some sequins and that finsihed up the card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend.
