Happy Village Reveal Wheel

Today I’m sharing a Lawn Fawn Reveal wheel card. This is my favourite interactive die and I think it’s a must have.

I teamed it with some other Lawn Fawn goodies. For the background, I used the Stitched Cloud Backdrop Portrait die to add some subtle detail.

The scene is created with images from Lawn Fawn Happy Village, all coloured with alcohol markers and die cut with the coordinating dies.

I added a Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside along with the Simple Roadside border (the latter is currently on sale in the store).

For the reveal wheel opening, I added a sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Plane and Simple stamp set. The birds and sun/cloud are from Happy Village. I then created my own rainbow with alcohol markers to show in the window for one of the turns of the wheel. As the window opening is similar in shape to a rainbow, it works really well.

Thanks for joining me today,
Gemma

Hot Air Balloons

Hello and happy Tuesday.

Today I’m sharing a hot air balloon card. I love the retro vibe of the C&9th Happy Balloon set. The set includes a hot air balloon basket so I decided to use that for my card.

I began by die cutting the background, using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Cloud Backdrop Portrait die to add some lovely detail to a piece of white card. I adhered this panel onto my card base.

Next, I stamped two large balloons and added details with copper and silver embossing powders. I also stamped two hot air balloon baskets and a banner. I embossed a greeting on the banner, then cut everything out.

I used foam tape to add the balloons to the card, then finished the card with some clear sequins.

Have a lovely day,
Gemma

Party Animals

Hey stampers, Anni here!

The cards I bring you today feature one of my favourite stamp set ever - Mama Elephants' Party Animals. This set is just so cute and I never made a card with this set I didn't like and that says something as we are often the most critical about our crafting, aren't we.
So whenever I seem to lacking with ideas and mojo I turn to this stamp set and it never failed me.

I started by stamping the sweet images - all of them in fact but I used just a few. For the colouring I chose alcohol marker as this is for me the fastest way to colour. Before I started colouring I decided which images I wanted to use together. That way I could go with matching colours.
Then I fussy cut out the images (there are coordinating dies available, too).

For the background I die cut a sky full of clouds using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Clouds Backdrop: both the Landscape and the Portrait one. These dies are so awesome, subtil but still eyecatching, so I had to buy both. I cut the rectangles a little bit smaller to fit my card.

I added just a little bit of ink blending to emphasize the cute critters. For the ground I die cut a hill for both cards using Mama Elephants' Landscape Trio. Keeping it simple I chose white card stock and added no colour at all.

Finally I heat embossed my sentiments in white on a stripe of black card stock. The sentiments are from Mama Elephants' Monster Jam.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend.
