Gift Boxes

Hey stampers, Anni here!

I've got four teenage nephews and one niece and one nephew in their early twenties! I've got to be honest: The best gifts to give them for birthdays etc. is money! It is not very personal nor individuell but that's what they need the most!
To make it a little more personal I like to make some gift boxes for the money.

For these one I used Lawn Fawn's Candy Box die. I die cut it from white cardstock.
To decorate the boxes I used two sets: Hero Arts' Enjoy the Journey for the young man and Mama Elephants' Balloon Et Cetera and for the young woman. I tell it like it is: I bought Enjoy the Jouney for the tiny solid images of the whale and the shark etc.. I think these are so cute! And to justify it to myself I must say this set is great for masculine cards.

I stamped the images to the die cuts in various colours. In the small spaces where no stamp fits I added small dots for bubbles on the maritim box and for confetti on the box with the balloons.

I personalized the boxes by adding the first letter of my nieces' and nephew's name. For that I used Altenew's Inline Alpha Set.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend.

Rainbow Letters

Hey stampers, Anni here!

I told you a few stories about my nephews in recent weeks. Today I have another card for one of my nephews - the youngest one.
He had his confirmation a few weeks ago. And I needed a card. For a boy. A teenage boy. For a confirmation. Couldn't get much harder, could it?

After a lot of thinking I decided to go simple! And a rainbow couldn't hurt!
I started by die cutting all the letters of the german word for confirmation with the Inline Alpha Die set by AlteNew from watercolor cardstock.
I pressed some ink pads in rainbow order on my craft mat, added water and dyed the letters with the mixture. If it wasn't intensiv enough, I repeated the process.

I die cutted a recangle with Lil'Inker Designs' Stitched Mats: Rounded Rectangles and adhered the letters in groups of three. After that I glued the panel onto a white cardbase.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Southern Floral Hello

I've gone girly this week as I couldn't wait to get some ink on the new floral sets from Wplus9 that released on Wednesday - Southern Summer Florals 1 and 2.   I didn't quite get the time to ink up both just yet so expect to see them again at some point but I've started with a CAS card with Southern Summer Florals 2.

I stamped the large floral using two shades of purple from Altenew's Shades of Purple ink, the remaining florals using oranges from Warm and Cozy and the leaves from Tropical Forest before using the co-ordinating dies to cut them all out.

I used the Lafayette die from Mama Elephant to cut the rounded rectangle, twice to layer it up for some dimension and then arranged the florals over one corner.  I added a few dots of black enamel accents to the flower centres.

For the sentiment I used Altenew's Inline Alpha dies to spell out hello from some thick white card and I then heat embossed it with their gorgeous new Golden Peach embossing powder.   This is a fun technique if you've never done it before - simple press the front of each letter into your versamark ink pad and then dip into the embossing powder with fine tweezers.  Pop your letters onto some washi tape or the sticky bit of a post-it note to hold them and heat emboss.  Et-voila - your own sticker style glossy letters.   I'm not normally a fan of gold, but this golden peach colour is something else - its so soft and feminine I love it!

The card was finished with a stitched mat layer to match the inner element.
