Cute Laundry

Hello there and Happy Bank Holiday Monday... I won't mention the weather!!

Jenny here and I'm keeping with the baby theme from last week ... yep you guessed, baby has arrived and both her and mum are doing well :)  Yay... time to make a New Baby card and I knew just which stamps to reach for ....

I just love all the sentiments in MFT's New Baby set but this has to be the best. I wanted to keep it a really simple design so I used Lawn Fawns Little Bundle stamp set to arrange the super cute laundry on the line!!

I used grey ink rather than black so the overall look was softer and chose a toning shade of mauve to add colour to the clothes. The babygrow is coloured by sponging ink through a negative mask, made with a post it note, I then stamped the spotty Background Block whilst the mask was still in place. 

The onsie has been patterned using a small flower stamp from the same set.... adorable :)

Baby Dragons

Hi there, hope you had a great weekend :)

You don't automatically think of dragons when you think of a new baby card but I had these two little characters from Magical Dragons coloured and that's what came to mind!!

They're coloured with alcohol markers and, as I haven't got the dies for this set, I had to 

trim them out with scissors so I left a narrow white border to make it an easier job.

To keep the card clean and simple I die cut a Cross Stitch circle and inked a sky and grass scene 

onto it. Dragons and mountains seem to go together so I used a couple from Prehistoric Fun and 

coloured them with markers too :)

The Welcome word die is from Paper Smooches but is unfortunately out of stock but Lil inkers

makes a similar die which I've linked to below and the rest of the sentiment is from Lawn Fawns Little Bundle.... just the perfect font to go with the scripty die :)

Well not your ordinary baby card but cute nevertheless!

A Splash of Pink

Hello and happy Monday to you :)

I'm kicking off the new week with a simple card.

Like Tara, I need a New Baby card to send this week and although I'm not a huge fan of 'pink for a girl' I thought I'd add a splash to my otherwise very CAS card and keep it traditional...

I've used Lawn Fawns Little Bundle stamps and dies but I swapped the washing line poles for the branch in Deck the Halls ... not so overpowering in black ink :)

To decorate the onesie I've used the small hearts in the set with Altenew's Frosty Pink ink. The BABY letters are cut using MFT's Bottlecap Letters and to make them match the onesie, I swiped the same pink ink across the card before die-cutting.

To ground my washing line and keep the scene simple I used the smaller of the MFT Grassy Fields die cut in white card and then used a black pen to draw in the spikey detail :)
