Rollercoaster Box Pop Up

Today I’m sharing a Lawn Fawn Coaster Critters box card pop up. This is still one of my favourite interactive dies as it’s not overly complicated to put together or bulky to post.

I die cut the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Box Card Pop Up from a sheet of 12x12 paper from my craft stash, using double sided tape to put it together.

I then stamped the Lawn Fawn Coaster Critters images on white card and coloured them with copic markers, before die cutting them with the coordinating dies.

I adhered all the images into the box, making sure to add something to each tab for lots of dimension.

I cut a piece of blue patterned paper to adhere the back panel for the sky, then added some extra images to the box card pop up, from Lawn Fawn Happy Village and Village Shops stamp sets. These sets work so well together.

Finally, I added a panel to the front with a sentiment from the Coaster Critters stamp set, along with a panel at the back for my written message.

Thanks for joining me today,
Gemma

Sleeping Beauty Box Pop-Up Card

Today I'm sharing the box pop-up card I've made for my niece's 4th birthday. I was inspired by one of her favourite Disney princesses, Sleeping Beauty.

I first stamped, coloured and cut out lots of images from the Lawn Fawn Fairy Friends stamp set. As Lawn Fawn don't have a fairytale set (hint hint, Lawn Fawn!), I chose one of the princesses from the MFT Once Upon a Time stamp set. I also added some butterflies and the bird from that set too.

I used a piece of 12x12 paper I had in my craft stash to make the box, but the Echo Park 6x6 perfect princess paper pad would be great for this. Remember, the box die will fit on 6x6 paper, but you'll need to cut it out twice to make the box so you'll need two pieces.

I added three tabs to the box, cut from Lawn Fawn green perfectly plaid paper, with a grassy edge attached to each one. I also added a blue watercolour paper stitched rectangle to the back panel, along with a grassy border.

I adhered the fairies and butterflies on acetate strips so they pop up and appear to fly when the box opens. I tried to fill the box out more this time, with lots of flowers in each layer.

As the fairy house is meant to be in the forest, I added a green hillside and trees to each side panel to bring the scene out more.

The panel at the front has a heat embossed greeting from the Lawn Fawn Fairy Friends stamp set.

I had fun making this box card and am looking forward to seeing my niece's reaction when she opens it to see Sleeping Beauty and the three fairies inside.

Elphie Selfie Baby Box Card Pop Up

I've been having great fun with the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Box Card Pop Up die set. Today I'm sharing a new baby card I made using it.

I thought I'd first share a tip I've discovered from making several of these box pop up cards.

The box card pop up die will fit on 6x6 paper, but remember you'll need two die cuts to create the box so two sheets of the same patterned paper. If you use 6x6 papers, you may want double-sided so there is some pattern or colour on the inside of the box. If you're not worried about that, any 6x6 papers will do.

On to my card, I die cut two box pieces from a 12x12 piece of patterned paper I had in my stash of supplies. I die cut three tabs and added grassy hills to each before putting the box together.

Next I stamped, coloured and die cut lots of images from the Lawn Fawn Elphie Selfie stamp set. I added these to the tabs with strong adhesive tape.

I used some thin strips of acetate to attach the bird and one of the balloons. This is a fun trick to give the illusion that they are floating.

The scalloped box card pop up die set comes with a great banner and different pennants to add to it. I used these to add a personalised banner to the card.

To finish, I added a card panel to the box card with a heat embossed sentiment on it, made up from greetings in the Lawn Fawn Elphie Selfie and Altenew Oriental Orchid stamp sets.
