The background galaxy panel was created with distress inks. I used a old toothbrush and white acrylic paint, running my finger over the bristles to add the stars. I find this works the best for getting those small galaxy stars all over the panel. If you didn’t want to create your own galaxy background, there are some great patterned papers that can do the work for you.
I stamped lots of an alien image from Lawn Fawn Beam Me Up, colouring them all the same and fussy cutting them out. The alien spacecraft is also from that stamp set, and the other images are from Lawn Fawn Out of this World.
I die cut some clouds and added a sentiment from Lawn Fawn Out of this World stamp set.
For the reveal wheel, I die cut it from Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust cardstock, then added a rainbow of colours with my alcohol markers. I found it easier to temporarily use a white card wheel to help me align the reveal wheel mechanism, as it’s tricky to see the lines on the glitter reveal wheel.
I adhered everything to a dark blue card base, and added glossy accents here and there for a finishing touch.
Thanks for joining me today,
Gemma

ReplyDeleteSo cute and too much fun. Thanks for sharing your art.🐧
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this card! How did you make the aliens' little space suits? Is it just penned in or part of a stamp? Cheers!
