Autumn Anniversary

I'm dodging back today from the onslaught of Christmas card making to the glorious colours of
Autumn whilst there are still leaves on the trees... they've not been blown away yet!!

I needed to make an anniversary card so I reached for the Autumn Leaves dies from Newtons Nook
and cut a whole bunch in different seasonal shades. The fun thing with these dies is you can swap the veins
and stalks around which makes a colourful display and saves on the die-cutting too.

For a sentiment I used an oldie but goody... Perfectly Penned from Concord & 9th, and stamped
the letters onto a piece of card. I then used an Altenew Fine Frame, which was coloured using the same
ink as the sentiment, to adhere around the sentiment and trimmed the edges to make a framed
panel. I then arranged and adhered the leaves and acorns around the sentiment.

I just love those vibrant colours against the cream card 😊

Graduation Legs

Did you see there's a new Stamp Company in store?
It's the Colorado Stamp Company and I've been busy creating using one of
the new sets called Graduation ....

The concept of focusing the artwork on the legs instead of the whole person is just so different and I think makes colouring easier, they are also perfect if you require a design that isn't too cutsey! For this first card I stamped the male Grad onto watercolour cardstock and enjoyed painting with my Windsor & Newton paints.

I added a background which was inspired by the beautiful formal gardens in
Bath which were the backdrop for our daughters Graduation photos.
The stamp set has quite a few sentiments to choose from in a choice of font styles too.

For this second card I stamped the female Grad legs and went with a sepia style design
using a Polychrome pencil on cream card. I adhered one of the Fine Frames from
Altenew then trimmed the card panel down before adding it to another card piece.

The monochromatic design gives quite a different look to the first card,
for a finishing touch I added three score lines to the card base for some subtle detail.

Pretty Hellebores

Hello there, Jenny back again to start your week off and today I have a floral card.

Hellebore's are one of my favourites in the garden, you have to have a lot of respect and
love for a plant that flowers this time of year! The Hellebore Builder is a great stamp set
for winter Birthdays as well as Christmas crafting..

Hellebore's come in a few different colours but I have to say the whites and greens
are my favourite. For my card I went with pink, purple and white and the white was
the easiest to choose colours for and stamp!!

To make the white hellebore, I first used the die to cut the flower shape from card which is
a top tip Dawn passed on in a video using the set. I then stamped onto the die-cut using
Hero Arts Unicorn White for the base layer, then Avery Elle's Silver Fox
and finally last layer is Mama Elephants Moonlight.

The flowers are clustered on the corner of a frame which is made using two of the
Fine Frames Rectangles dies from Altenew ( this die will be back as soon as possible)
and the sentiment is from the lovely Birdie Brown Greetings Galore set
