Gift Boxes for Crafty Friends

Hey stampers, Anni here!

A few month ago we had a big get together of german cardmaker. We met at a former monastery, which is now a hostel! You can't imagine how much fun we had.
And of course there was a exchange of small gifts in handcrafted bags od gift boxes. Today I want to show you the ones I gave away.

I started by die cutting Lawn Fawn's Goodie Bag 60 times (well, actually it wasn't me, I had help from my sweet heart) for 30 goodie bags. You need two parts for one bag.
I applied some white pigment ink through Newton Nook's Cloudy Sky Stencil before I assembled the bags.

For the decoration and as a little gift I created book marks. For that I stamped images from two Mama Elephant sets called Party Animals and Lil'Painters, coloured them with alcohol markers and fussy cut all of them.

I added sentiments from Altenew's Crafty Life and Crafty Friends. To the book mark I added a magnet to hold it on place.

Here you can see a lot of the boxes (not all of them because they wouldn't fit on a photo.)

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend.
Anni

Lil' Baby Story Time

Hi everybody,

Jill here and this week I've got a sweet and simple story for you...

...using Mama Elephant's Lil Painters to help tell the tale.

I don't know about you, but when I get a new stamp set, I like to lavish attention on it as soon as I have it in my hands.  You know, hold it, stare at it, drool over it etc etc...in any case...I was fawning over the adorable Lil Painters from Mama Elephant, when these sweet little images popped out at me as a little story of brand new life that would make a perfect 'new baby' card.

Now I'm not sure if they were intended for this use, but I'm totally claiming the idea as mine haha.
I started by stamping out these three separate images in row, masking them off and adding a few little sprigs of grass.  I  then coloured them using my Zig Real Brush Markers.  Once dry, I masked them off again and stamped Lawn Fawn's Gingham Backdrop set over top in a bright, vibrant bubble-gum pink ink.

I took my sentiment from Mama Elephant's New Family, as it worked perfectly for my card and the font and style worked perfectly with my design, and stamped it out in black ink.
I finished by matting onto a piece of kraft card and mounted the whole thing onto a white card base.
I loved the crisp, cool, CAS design of my card so skipped on embellishments and left it there.

I really hope you like it, and enjoyed my little story time.  I really love it when a stamp set takes you in a totally different direction to what is first apparent!

As always, everything I used is linked below so be sure to drop by and have a peek.

See you next week.

Little cats playing Lil Painters.

Hi everybody,

Jill here, and I've got some 'Little Cats' playing at being 'Lil Painters' for you today...

...by mixing up two gorgeous sets from Mama Elephant.

This scene popped in my head as soon as I got my hands on these delightful sets for some reason, with the little cat from 'Little Cat Agendas' painting his little pal playing around, using the easel from 'Lil painters'.
I started by stamping out all the elements I wanted to use from both sets, colouring using my Zig Clean Colour Pens, and fussy cutting.  I also used the sun & clouds from Mama Elephant's 'Sunday Stroll' and did the same with those.  For the actual painting the little kitty is doing, I just did a silly little doodle onto the easel and lightly coloured.

I did a little ink blending to create my background, sprinkling and soaking up some water droplets across it to add a little interest.
My sentiment is from another Mama Elephant set, 'Ella & Friends' and is stamped in black ink then clear heat embossed.
I then adhered all my pieces in place to create my scene.

I really like how this card came out as it makes me smile.  I love using my sets together to create alternate stories and outcomes.

I really hope you like it.
As always, everything I used is linked below.

See you next week.
