Little Cat Birthday Parade

I'm really enjoying colouring these adorable cats from the Mama Elephant Little Cat Agenda stamp set.

For this card, I wanted a birthday parade of Maine Coon cats (both the recipient of this card and I have Maine Coons).

I began by die-cutting a scalloped border from an A2 note card size piece of white card. I stamped five cats, making sure to choose ones all going in the same direction to form a parade. I coloured them with alcohol markers, and added ear tufts with a black fine liner pen to turn them into Maine Coons.

I choose a piece of patterned paper to go on the bottom half of the A2 note card base, then attached the stamped piece with foam tape.

Using a die from the Mama Elephant Polaroid die set, I die cut some speech bubbles - twice from white card and once from black card. I stamped a sentiment on one, then layered them together, with the black speech bubble offset slightly to create a shadow. I adhered this directly to the card, above the cats.

Finally, I added some Wink of Stella clear glitter to the cat accessories.

I hope you like my birthday cat parade. Have a lovely day,
Gemma

Cute Fruit and Glitter Embossing

Hello, Gemma here with a cute fruit card to share with you.

I began by stamping the pear and orange stamps from the Paper Smooches Cute Fruit stamp set. I wanted some texture to the fruit, so I wasn't concerned about getting perfect stamping. I used the MFT mini ink cubes, leaving some of the stamp clear for a highlight and adding dimension by stamping a second time with darker ink around the edges. I added the face stamps in black ink.

I wanted to add some sparkle to the fruit. To do this, I stamped over both fruit images again, this time using Versamark ink. I added clear glitter embossing powder and heat set it. This gives a lovely sparkly gloss look to the fruit.

I also stamped stalks and leaves, but didn't add any embossing to these. I cut out everything, glued on the stalks and leaves, then set them aside whilst I worked on the rest of the card.

I used one of the dies from the MFT Stitched Scallop Basic Edges, to cut down a piece of A6 white card. These are currently out of stock but I've linked to some great alternatives at the end of the post.

I arranged the fruit on the card to help me work out where the arms should go, then stamped these in MFT Kraft dye ink. I added the fruit images with foam tape.

Once I had added the orange, I realised that the arms were a little further out than I wanted and there were gaps. I grabbed an alcohol marker and drew in the tops of the arms - problem solved!

I added the white panel to a Kraft card base, then finished the card with a stamped greeting from the cute fruits stamp set.

Thanks for joining me today.

Abstract Florals

This week I have two cards to share with you, both featuring an abstract floral pattern.

I created the pattern using two stamps from the MFT Fall Florals set. I first stamped the stems in black ink, then added the flowers in rainbow colours.

I kept a lot of white space on the card but wanted a bold sentiment too. From black card, I die cut words from the MFT Brushstroke Birthday Greetings (these are available as stamps too).

On the second card, I used one of the MFT Scalloped Edge border dies and the Happy word die from the same set as before, to create a different look.

Thanks for joining me today.
