Baby Popcorn

Hello, I hope you all had a good weekend :)

I have a baby shower gift package to show you today..... it's a bit different and focuses on a play on words to give it that fun element :) I was trying to find an alternative use for the Popcorn Treat Box from Sugar Pea Designs and then the phrase "ready to pop" sparked this idea...

I started by running the die through twice to make the box and then stamped the stripes using the solid stripe in Mama Elephants Basic Borders set. I chose to use a traditional pink ink as the gifts are for our niece who is expecting a baby girl very soon, very exciting as it is the first baby of that generation for our family. I used the dies in the set to cut an oval in pink card and then made a second slightly smaller oval by tracing around the inside of the same die on white card and cutting it out with scissors :)

The phrase is made up using dies from the Popcorn set and Mama Elephants Bella Letters. I have added a die cut nappy pin to provide that extra 'New Baby' touch :)

It's quite a small box but the perfect size for a couple of bibs and a Giftcard.... another option would be the Waffleflower Template Petal Holder die which has a slightly larger base but shorter in height.

To give the gift the extra creative finishing touch I used Lawn Fawns Little Bundle stamp set to decorate a sheet of tissue paper, it is only subtle but I think it sets the small presents off nicely.

Thank you for visiting and I hope this might inspire you to think outside the Popcorn Box!

Sweet Cupcakes

The Altenew Way Too Sweet stamp set is one of my favourites. I wanted to make a card featuring the cake images from this set, as I haven't used them as much as the ice cream and lollipop images.

I used a border stamp and Altenew inks to create stripes on a piece of watercolour card. To give them a loose watercolour look, I spritzed the stamp with water before stamping onto the card.

I used a heat tool to dry the stripes, then stamped the cakes and a heart image over the background. I chose Altenew Lava Rock ink as thought black would look too harsh.

I created the sentiment from two different stamps, selectively stamping the words I wanted to create my own greeting. I heat embossed it in gold on vellum, and die cut it into a tag. I added it to the card with liquid glue, and added a few clear sequins around it.

Thanks for joining me today,
Gemma

O Christmas Tree Gift Tags

Hello and thanks for joining me.

Today I have a selection of Christmas tags to share, using the Concord & 9th O Christmas tree stamp set

I die cut different sizes of tags from white card, using the MFT Traditional Tags Die-namics and Lawn Fawn Essential Sentiment Banners dies.

I chose a black and gold colour scheme (my favourite for Christmas this year), and used a mix of the different stamps and sentiments to create various designs. I added in some extra details with the Mama Elephant Basic Borders stamp set.

For the gold stamping, I used Versamark ink and Hero Arts gold embossing powder.

For the black stamping, I used Versafine black ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts Sparkling embossing powder. A black sparkle embossing with Versamark ink would be a great alternative to achieve the same look.

Team these tags with simple brown wrapping paper and twine for a classic Christmas look.

Have a lovely day.
