Life Happens....Coffee Helps
Hello, it's Liz here today. We love going out for coffee and our morning routine is very much organised on where we will go for our flat whites and pain au chocolates, and a dog muffin for Mili!
So everything on this card is perfect for that coffee loving friend. I stamped, coloured and cut out 'curvy girl loves coffee' by Stamping Bella (matching dies are here). Unfortunately this stamp is out of stock at the moment due to the success of the recent sale but you can click on the 'notify me' button to be told when new stock arrives.
Then I stamped all the coffee cups and pot from the 'coffee date' set by My Favorite Things with co-ordinating ink pads (matching dies are here). Love that the stamps in this set do the colouring for you!
And what do you do when your stitching is wonky? Make it even more wonky - twice!

Modern Coffee
Hi there, Jenny here on a Monday morning and I'm on the coffee again!!!
Yes I'm drinking it and also re-visiting the Coffee Date stamp set from MFT.
Last time my card was retro and.... erm... quite bright!! This design is still colourful but has more of an abstract/modern
edge to it and I was totally inspired by this picture on Pinterest...
Those solid shapes of colour have such an impact and I knew I wanted to try
it with this set straight away.
I arranged the images in my stamp press and used Memento ink to stamp them, that way I knew
the black wouldn't smudge when I added the colour on top. I used strips of masking tape to make
the random shapes and daubed on distress inks.
I had left the stamps mounted in the stamp press so I returned the panel of card to the exact same position
and re-stamped the images in black Versafine ink to give a deeper black line.
The Mama Elephant Occasional Labels has a great choice of sentiments and they were perfectly sized to fit
the space left. I stamped them on a scrap of white card and trimmed around them with a craft knife
and ruler.... that way they look more like Dymo labels.
Thanks for stopping By :)

Retro Coffee
Hello, it's Jenny here again and I'm covering for Taheera who will be back next Thursday.
I hope you have your sunglasses handy this morning as I have a bright retro design to show you.....
It's helpful to have the dies to match this set but you can easily make masks by stamping the images and cutting them out with a border yourself. Once I had settled on the layout I used masking tape and distress oxide ink to make blocks of colour over the masks..
To add a pattern on the coffee pot I placed a small diamond of masking paper down before stamping the solid colour and then used the negative diamond shape to sponge two black diamonds on top of the orange ink.
Well I hope that has brightened your day, thanks for stopping by :)

Oh how I just love retro colours and designs and the Coffee Date stamp set from MFT fits perfectly into that genre. I started by masking the edges of a card blank and then laying out my design as you see below..
I experimented with adding some texture to one of the squares with a background stamp but the jury's still out on whether I like it or not!! Next stage is to stamp the outline images and purposefully off-set them and then do the same for the solid in-fills too.
Love the quote too which comes from Sugar Pea Designs The Perfect Blend.... although some would say it's never to early for wine but that's a whole different debate 😉
Jenny x
