This Card is a Hug

Hey stampers, Anni here!

A handmade card is a good way to let a friend know that you think of him or her, isn't it? We send a lot of cards for birthdays and Christmas but not so often in between these "big" days.
So I made this card for a lovely friend so that she know that she is in my thoughts.

I started by stamping some of Mama Elephant's Stackable Cuties in a very light ink and did some no line colouring with Distress Reinkers. For the eyes and the noses I used a black and for the highlights a white gel pen. There are coordinating dies available for these images.

For the background I did a light ink blending. Over this background I used Newton's Nook's Tumbling Hearts stencil and added more ink. Then I added another layer of ink without the stencil to make the edges of the heart softer. I sprayed a glimmer mist on the background.

I die cut the panel using My Favorite Things' A2 Rectangle Frames and die cut also a frame from light grey cardstock.

In My Favorite Things' Lots of Hugs set I found this super sweet one. I stamped it with Versamark and heat embossed it in white on a stripe of dark grey cardstock.
For the finishing touch I added some sequins.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend.

Consider This A Hug

Hey stampers, Anni here!

Aaaw, isn't this little bear from Mama Elephant's set called Page Hugger the cutest? I couldn't resist and had to use him on a card.

I started by stamping the bear in black ink. As a little accessoires I chose the letter with a tiny heart for him to 'hug'!
I coloured him with coloured pencils. Coloured pencils are my favorite colouring medium. It takes more time than colouring with alcohol markers but I find it very relaxing. And it is so much easier to add details and shadows. To add some highlights I used a white gel pen. And to make the eyes and the nose extra black I used a black gel pen on them.

For the frame I die cut My Favorite Things' Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frames several times from white cardstock and stacked them up to achieve some dimension.

I die cut a banner form pink cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment in white on it. It is from my new favorite sentiment set called Lots of Hugs by My Favorite Things. I like the font and sentiments are just too cute.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Hugs and Kisses

Hey stampers, Anni here!
Today's card is featuring the beautiful set called Fancy Flowers by My Favorite Things. I love this set so much especially because of the artsy look of the flowers.

For this card I did a lot of masking, colouring and fussy cutting - all the things that I love about making a card.
At first I stamped all the big flowers on a piece of white paper and stamped them a second time on full adhesive post it notes.I masked of the big flowers and filled the gapes with the smaller flowers and the leaves.
I chose four colours for my flowers. I didn' t use them in equal amount but decided to go for the peachy color and purple as my main colours and added just a little amount of pink and lilac.
After finishing the colouring I fussy cut the upper edge of my flowers and adhered it with dimeansional adhesive to my cardbase.
For the sentiment I went with Hugs & Kisses from the My Favorite Things' set Lots of Hugs. I embossed it in white on dark grey cardstock.
With some dots of silver Stickles I finished up my card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.
