Simple Note Cards
Hello there everyone and happy Thursday. Today I have a set of matching note cards to share that would be perfect to give for every occasion just by changing the sentiment. You could even mix up to colours to give these a different look.
Swoon.... just how gorgeous does that foiling look?!?! And I have to say these look so much better in real life but foiling is just so hard to photograph.
To create these I marked where I wanted the images to be on the card by drawing a faint pencil rectangle on a card blank. I added this into my stamp positioning tool and arranged the flower and leaf images from Altenew Bamboo Rose so they all fitted within the rectangle. I then closed the lid of the stamp positioner so the stamps stuck, this meant I could stamp as many of these as I wanted, all the same!
I used these cluster of images and versamark to then stamp four card blanks for the set. I then used a sticking embossing or bonding powder and heat set. When sticky embossing powder (or bonding powder) is warm its sticky so I heated it up and then added some foil over the top, if some places don't stick just heat that part up again and add the foil back on top.
For the sentiment I used Altenew Magnolias For Her and foiled in the same way as I did for the background. Simple but very pretty, I think these would also make perfect wedding stationary too. I'm really eyeing up the Black Deco Foil.... I think these would look amazing using that!
Thanks for stopping by and see you again soon!

Watercolour & Gold
Hello everyone and happy Thursday! Lydia here with you and I'm so happy you stopped by.
Today I have a watercolour and gold creation to share.
When I saw the cute little whimsy flowers in My Favorite Things 'Pretty Posies' set I knew I had to have it!
I started with a piece of watercolour card and stamped and embossed the flowers and leaves in white. I had the floral images more concentrated at the top and fewer 'floating' down.
Once the embossing was cool I added a wash over and around the flowers using pinks and orange- I kept this quite light as I wanted the flowers to stand out more. When the wash was dry I added more of the same colours to the flowers and I just love the look this gives.
I then waited for it to dry before adding drops of 2 way glue around the flowers, I waited for this to go clear before adding some foil on top- yay... gold foil studs! For some added gold to the background I added some gold splatters.
For some added detail I used the stitched line from Mama Elephant 'Fine Trimmings' around the edges of the piece of watercolour card.
For the sentiment I used Concord & 9th 'Beautiful You' die set, I cut the 'beautiful' out of gold card, and it looks amazing. I finished the sentiment off using a 'you are' embossed in gold on a strip of vellum from Altenew 'Thinking Of You'.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
