August Colour Challenge Winners

We're running a little late with the challenge posts again this month - sorry.   We have however now selected our winners for August and we'll be back tomorrow with our new theme challenge for September.

Our winning entry this month picked the first colour scheme and created a really pretty card with it.  So congratulations Liz - you are our winner this month.  Drop me a line via the store and we'll get your £20 voucher over to you.   We loved the delicate details in the background and how the framing really makes the central character pop!

Our runners up this month, in no particular order, are:

Claire - we loved Claire's underwater Christmas themed card - the colour scheme lends itself to an underwater scene and this one is lots of fun!

Jessica - what we loved about Jessica's card may not be obvious if you didn't visit her blog and read her post - she used some Christmas themed stamps in a very clever way to make that pineapple!  The bold strong colours also drew our eye and all in all its a fab card.

Ashwini - we loved the cute scene Ashwini created - the blended sunset really sets off the whole card and makes you want to hang out with the music playing critters.

Here's your winners badge.

Don't forget to pop by tomorrow to play along in our new challenge for September - we think its a really fun one!

August Challenge Winners

Well it seems as if we had you all geometrically challenged this month - we had some great entries and some brilliant "outside the box" thinking when you didn't have geometric supplies to hand.  I love how challenges stretch us as crafters.

Our winner this month created an amazing effect through colouring which had us all thinking it was a 3D embossed card the detail is so fantastic.  That entry belongs to AL Handmade - Congrats!  Drop me an email via the store to collect your voucher.

Our runners up this month were, in order of entry, Ashwini, Tallies Corner and Sabina F.

We loved Ashwini's playful take on the challenge with an almost Warhol look to the layered up images on the coloured backgrounds.

Tallie's entry impressed as she had no geometric supplies to hand so created her own square stencil to make her geometric background paper.

We loved Sabina's double layer of geometric cloud and rain and the tiny peeks of geometry on the background card too.

Thanks for playing along ladies.  Do take your winners badge for your blogs.

If you didn't win this month - don't despair we'll be back tomorrow with a brand new challenge and September brings a sketch for you to play with.
