You're the Sweetest

Today I have a sweet reveal wheel card to share. This is still my favourite of the Lawn Fawn interactive die sets.

For my background, I added some colour to a white card panel, using distress oxide inks and the Altenew Classy Stripes stencil. Once dry, I die cut it with the Reveal Wheel panel and the Sweetest Flavor add on

On the wheel mechanism, I inked it with more distress oxide inks and flicked with water for droplet detail. I stamped some faces from Lawn Fawn Sweetest Flavor stamp set, to show through the ice cream window when the wheel turns. One of the faces is from the Lawn Fawn Out of this World stamp set.

Before putting the card together, I stamped a greeting on the panel from the Lawn Fawn Sweetest Flavour stamp set

I coloured three ice creams to go on the card, then die cut them out. I used the reveal wheel add on die for one of them, so it can go around the window.

As a finishing touch, I topped each ice cream with a cherry, and also stamped 'turn me' next to the wheel, from the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Sentiments stamp set.

Have a lovely day,
Gemma

Tropical Thanks

Hello, Tallie here. I'm taking a break from the festive crafts and posting a tropical thank you card today. These cards were made with two stamp sets, two dies and six ink cubes and can easily be customised to any particular colour scheme.

For the mostly-green design, I started out with a white A6 card panel. I stamped out three of the leaves in the Avery Elle Tropics stamp set with some Lawn Fawn Mini Ink Cubes in Noble Fur, Cilantro, Jalapeno and Freshly Cut Grass, sticking to darker colours for the outlines and lighter colours in the background. Layering up the stamps gives the impression of depth and a tropical forest was what I was aiming for! The outlines are really easy to line up with the solid stamps.

For the more flowery design, I started by stamping out the flowers in some Carrot and Sunflower ink so they would be evenly arranged across the panel. I chose some of the more tropical fern-like leaves for this card.

Once dry, I used the MFT Big Thanks die to cut out the word from the centre of the panel. I cut some additional letters from some white card stock so I could stack them and raise the word 'thanks' up from the panel. I added some Glossy Accents to help differentiate it from the background.

I finished up the cards by white heat embossing the sentiment from the Reveal Wheel Sentiments set onto a black banner cut with a Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banner.

A great way to say thank you!

Thanks for reading. I'll be back with some more festive inspiration next week.

Tallie

Meow You Doin' Reveal Wheel

Today I’m sharing a Lawn Fawn reveal wheel birthday card. I’m really enjoying using this and the add-on dies. They are one of the easiest interactive cards to put together, and people love to receive them.

For this card, I used the Reveal Wheel Square add-on and the Speech Bubble add-on. You will need the original Reveal Wheel die set too, so you have the circles needed for the mechanism.

I won’t go in depth about how I put the card together, as Lawn Fawn have some amazing videos that show you everything you need to know.

I layered some patterned paper for the background, then ran the square add on with speech bubble window through my die cutting machine.

The sentiments are all from the Reveal Wheel Sentiments stamp set.

To create a fun birthday scene, I stamped some images from the Lawn Fawn Meow You Doin' stamp set, colouring them with alcohol markers and die cutting them out. I adhered them flat onto the card, as I didn’t want to add anymore bulk with foam tape.

I love turning the wheel to reveal all the different messages in the speech bubble. If you haven’t tried the reveal wheel dies yet, I can really recommend them.

Have a lovely day,
Gemma

Jawsome Day

Today I’m sharing a fun underwater card, featuring the Lawn Fawn Duh-Nuh stamp set. The star of the show is definitely that gorgeous Avery Elle Waves Cover die, though.

I began by blending distress oxides on to a piece of white card. I used peacock feathers, salty ocean and broken china. I flicked it with water to create the water droplets, then put it aside to dry.

Next, I stamped, coloured and cut out the shark and fish from Lawn Fawn Duh-Nuh stamp set.

Going back to my distress ink panel, I added some stick it adhesive to the reverse, then die cut a circle from it. I ran the circle through my die cutting machine again, this time with the Avery Elle Waves Elle-meant cover die. The stick it adhesive kept the pieces together when I removed it from the cover die.

I used two more circle dies to cut a frame from my distress inked panel. I adhered this to a white card base. I then took the pieces from the circle die cut and adhered them within the frame. I used every other piece of the die cut, to allow the white card base to show in between and the pattern to be more obvious.

Below the wave circle, I stamped a sentiment - a combination of the sentiment in Duh-Nuh and a sentiment from the Reveal Wheel sentiments stamp set.

I added the shark and fish to the circle with foam tape, then embellished the card with a few clear droplets to finish.

Thanks for joining me today,
Gemma
