Floral hello card with My Favorite Things
Hi everyone, Esther here with a floral hello card featuring My Favorite Things.
I started by die cutting a panel in dark blue card stock using the large stitched rectangle from Blueprints 29. I added matching flowers from the Stitched Flowers Dienamics, glued down flat. Then I die cut some smaller Stitched Flowers from a piece of watercolor card stock coloured with a pink Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pen, shaped them with a ball tool and glued them here and there in the spaces.
Finally I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in gold, from Lil'Inker Designs Wreath of Roses and mounted the panel onto a top folding card base. I love the variety of sentiments in the Wreath of Roses set, all in gorgeous cursive handwriting.
That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by!

"Kraft", white and gold glitter birthday card
Hi everyone, Esther here with a card inspired by so many of the beautiful Kraft, white and gold creations seen on Pinterest over the last couple of years.
I decided to use a smoother, slightly more sandy colour of card stock, and started by heat embossing a large floral from My Favorite Things Fancy Flowers in white over the panel. I then die cut the panel to size using the stitched rectangle from My Favorite Things Blueprints 29 and mounted it on a top folding card base.
Next up was a sentiment, and I used Altenew Happy Die in white and gold glitter for the main part, and "birthday" from the matching set Altenew Halftone Happy. Once these were popped onto the panel, the card was finished.
Super simple, but I love the warm look of these colours together!
Thanks very much for visiting - have a great week and I'll see you next Wednesday.

Sea life card - have a "fintastic" birthday!
Hi everyone, it's Esther here with a sea life card using Paper Smooches Briny Blue stamps. This is such a fun set with its cartoon feel and goggle-eyed fish!
I wanted to make a really dimensional card, so the elements in the card not directly on the base are raised on 1, 2 or 3 foam pads to create depth.
The ocean was created with water based dye ink, splattered with water and mopped up, and then splattered again with dark blue at the bottom and white at the top.
The layered frames are Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Frames, three deep with foam pads between. The sea creatures are coloured with alcohol markers. The sentiment is stamped onto one of the flag shapes from My Favorite Things Blueprints 29.
That's all from me for today. Thanks for looking!

Layered owl birthday card
Hi everyone, it's Esther here with a card featuring lots of layers and die cuts. The starting point, though, was the absolutely gorgeous stamp set, Hero Arts Garden Flowers by Lia.
When it arrived, I loved it so much that I stamped a panel on card stock in grey ink using all the stamps still adhered to their wrap so it looked like a paler version of the packaging. I cut it to size using the large rectangle from Avery Elle Pierced Banner Layer Elle-ments, currently out of stock but definitely one for your wishlist, and then held on to that panel for ages while I figured out how to use it!
I finally decided to create a layered card, and so I've made the card you see today.
The main products used for layers are My Favorite Things Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX Dienamics (currently out of stock so use Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Circle Lawn Cuts instead), Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Frames, and the smaller rectangle inner from My Favorite Things Essential Cover Up Vertical Dienamic (it was the perfect size!).
The decorative elements are Hero Arts Garden Flowers by Lia, My Favorite Things Wild Greenery, My Favorite Things I'm Owl Yours and matching dies, and a sentiment strip from My Favorite Things Blueprints 29.
This was a really fun card to make because it basically involved starting with a panel I loved and then going through my stash to see what dies I had that I could layer up with it. It was a really enjoyable process and I'd encourage you to go through your stash seeing what bits you've got that could work together for a new card.
Thanks for stopping by, and I'll see you again tomorrow as I have an extra turn this week :)

Vintage card with Altenew Beautiful Day
Hi everyone, it's Esther here with a vintage card using the lovely peony stamp from Altenew Beautiful Day.
I've seen this stamp set used in so many beautiful ways - bright colours, pastels, watercoloured, stamped, coloured pencils - that I knew it was really versatile. But I wanted to do something a bit different and create a vintage card with the feel of an aged bookplate or illustration.
I stamped a background layer using the leaf spray in a pale outline ink and two shades of infill ink. It was die cut into a stitched rectangle using My Favorite Things Blueprints 29, and a negative sentiment strip was cut away using My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle Word Windows Dienamics.
I then stamped the peony and two of the leaf sprays onto watercolour card stock and used vintage colours of pink, brown and green ink to stamp them. The main colour of the peony is a faded pink which I smoothed out with a watercolour brush, but the other layers were stamped "as is" and left a bit mottled on purpose for a more aged effect.
A computer generated sentiment reads "Fig 1. Paeonia" as a vintage-style label for the peony's Latin name, and was aged with ink and light ink splatters. This was glued to the card base, with the panel, peony and leaves layered on top.
Thanks so much for visiting!

Make a wish watercoloured card with silhouette die cuts
Hi everyone, it's Esther here with a watercoloured card inspired by Spring!
I started by watercolouring a panel with three Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens (041 Light Green, 051 Lemon Yellow, 027 Dark Pink), splashing it with water and mopping off for a bleach effect, then splattering over with three slightly darker shades (047 May Green, 050 Yellow, 082 Purple).
While the panel dried, I die cut a leaf spray from Altenew Botanical Garden, once in black and once in white, and layered these up for a shadow effect.
When the panel was dry, I splattered black acrylic paint over it and then die cut it with a stitched rectangle from My Favorite Things Blueprints 29. I added the leaf sprays to the panel and stamped a sentiment from Mama Elephant Make a Wish.
Finally, I mounted the panel onto a black panel underneath, then onto a white card base slightly wider than the top layers.
Thanks for stopping by!

Altenew butterflies and watercolour for Mothers' Day
Hi everyone, it's Esther here with a card for Mothers' Day featuring Altenew butterflies and watercolouring.
I stamped and heat embossed in gold the large butterfly from Altenew Wild Hibiscus stamp set, then lightly watercoloured the butterflies in pale pink with darker pink highlights on their wings using Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Pens. The background used a pale blue Zig pen.
I stamped "You Are" from My Favorite Things Count the Stars stamp set and heat embossed it in white on grey card, cutting it to size with a sentiment die from My Favorite Things Blueprints 29 and adding a banner edge by hand with scissors.
The "wonderful" is from Concord and 9th Wonderful Word Dies, layered up twice in white card and once on top in grey card.
I cut the panel to size using My Favorite Things Blueprints 29 and adhered it all together onto a top folding card base.
Thanks for stopping by!
