Crafty Gift Boxes for Crafty Friends

Hey stampers, Anni here!

Over here in Germany it is a very exciting weekend for the crafting community! It is Stempel Mekka, a creative fair especially for stamping.

And the best thing about it is to finally meet all the crafty friends you met online. And of course we exchange little gifts.

For this occassion I made A LOT of (over thirty) Lawn Fawn's Tiny Gift Boxes. These boxes are really cute and so so tiny.

To decorate these boxes I used Concord & 9th's Crafty Die. I die cut the scissors and the stamp out of scraps from my stash - the perfect time to use up all the bits and pieces that I always collect. I chose those pieces that were big enough to cut out the rubber of the stamp or rather the handle of the scissors and banner for the sentiment so they would match.

For the sentiment I used My Favorite Things' Stitched Sentiment Strip. And the crafty texts came from two set by Altenew called Crafty Life and Crafty Friends.

Do you go to creative fairs? Do you go for buying new stuff or to meetfreinds of the community?

Hope you have as much fun as I will have this weekend.

Thanks for stopping by!

Gift Boxes for Crafty Friends

Hey stampers, Anni here!

A few month ago we had a big get together of german cardmaker. We met at a former monastery, which is now a hostel! You can't imagine how much fun we had.
And of course there was a exchange of small gifts in handcrafted bags od gift boxes. Today I want to show you the ones I gave away.

I started by die cutting Lawn Fawn's Goodie Bag 60 times (well, actually it wasn't me, I had help from my sweet heart) for 30 goodie bags. You need two parts for one bag.
I applied some white pigment ink through Newton Nook's Cloudy Sky Stencil before I assembled the bags.

For the decoration and as a little gift I created book marks. For that I stamped images from two Mama Elephant sets called Party Animals and Lil'Painters, coloured them with alcohol markers and fussy cut all of them.

I added sentiments from Altenew's Crafty Life and Crafty Friends. To the book mark I added a magnet to hold it on place.

Here you can see a lot of the boxes (not all of them because they wouldn't fit on a photo.)

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend.

Me and My Yeti Gift Boxes

Hey stampers, Anni here!

You may have already noticed that I am totally into gift boxes - they make any gift better!
But what I  love even more are these super cute yetis by Mama Elephant! Let's be honest - the set Me And My Yeti has to be the cutest set ever! Don't you think?

I wanted to make some boxes for some crafty friends. So I started by die cutting Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Treat Box from patterned paper that I found in my stash.

Then I stamped both yetis three times as I wanted to make six boxes. I am not a fan of creating twice the same so I tried to make the boxes similar but each a little bit different. And I am a very slow crafter also. That's why I knew I had to keep the colouring to a minimum. I decided to keep the yetis in a light shade so I hadn't a lot of blending and shading to do.
I chose to colour them in a cool grey, a warm grey and a very light brown. To make them match the boxes I coloured the faces, the paws and the horns in the colour of the box.

After I finished the colouring I added some highlights to the cheeks with a white gel pen and deepend the black of the eyes with a black gel pen. Then the fussy cutting began (of course there are coordinating dies available, too).

As I wanted to give the boxes to some crafty friends I decided to use Altenew's Crafty Friends for the sentiments - just perfect for the occassion. There are so many great and cute sentiments in the set - I just love it.

What is your favourite stamp set at the moment? Let me know.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.
