Best Wishes
Hello, it's Liz here today. I have cracked open a new stamp set, Floral Notes by Avery Elle (a matching die set is also available). When I saw this set I knew I had to have it, it's such an unusual shape and I have so many ideas swirling around in my head!
This time I stamped the image with my Versafine Onyx Black ink pad and used my AlteNew Watercolour Paints to colour. The background paper is from the Simple Vintage Botanicals pad by Simple Stories. I love that this sheet of paper has just a touch of pattern around the edges leaving the centre plain for my sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by today, happy crafting!

Simple masking and watercolouring using Newtons Nook Peony Blooms stamp set.
Hello everyone.
I'm back today with another card - this time I'm using Newtons Nook Peony Blooms stamp set and Altenew watercolours.
I've started this project with stamping my florals on to piece of watercolour paper. To achieve the look I wanted, I did simple masking by stamping and cutting out additional flowers from post-it notes. You can also use masking paper or post it tape. When creating scenery, which requires masking technique, remember to plan which images going to be on the front and you got to stamp them first. Cover them with prepared masks and continue stamping. Add more masks if needed as you progress.
After my stamping was done, I've coloured everything with Altenew watercolours in rainbow order ( Yes - I love rainbows!! ) by simply laying colour down where my shadows supposed to be the darkest and pulling it out with a water brush. I repeated the process until I was happy with the results.
My next step was to create the background, using ink blending technique and distress oxides in lovely pinks. I added texture by splatting clean water and gold paint with a paintbrush.
When all my images were dry ( I like to leave it aside to dry naturally, but you can also heat set it with your heat tool ), I've fussy cut them out and adhered to the background with foam squares to give the whole design much-needed dimension.
I like the look of white gel pen on coloured images - critters and florals - so I've added some here. The last step was to stamp a sentiment from the same set with Versafine Onyx Black ink and add few Nuvo drops.

Someone Wonderful
I've got a simple card to share today using one of the awesome new floral designs from Danielle Donaldson at Stamping Bella - in this instance Tumble Blossom Cluster which is such a fun design to colour.
I stamped it with versamark ink onto smooth heavyweight cartridge paper and embossed it with gold and then used my Altenew water colours to paint it very loosely (I am not the greatest with paints so love that embossing holds it in the lines for you and you can just flood each area with colours nice an easy!)
Altenew paints are so heavily pigmented that I found the water I washed the blue off with had enough colour in it to paint a soft fade out background around it (waste not want not right!) so I used that and then finished with another waste not product - the frame came from the "waste" between the frames I cut using the MFT A2 Frame dies without cutting them apart.
The sentiment was stamped and embossed onto the central panel from the same die cut sheet and comes from the Friendly Foxes stamp from MFT.
If you've not checked out Danielle's Collection then head to our Stamping Bella page for a browse.
