Hey stampers, Anni here!
Over New Year's Eve I went on a short vacation. Whenever I'm on a vacation I take something to colour with me. And when I have more time on my hands to colour for the most part I choose coloured pencils.
My Favourite Things' Brilliant Blooms is the perfect set to practice your colouring. I stamped the flowers in the set on white cardstock. Whenever I colour with coloured pencils I leave the stamps in my stamping tool. When I finish the colouring I stamp again to get crisp deep black lines because the pigments of the pencils often dull the lines.
I fussy cut the images (there are coordinating dies available, too).
For the sentiment I used My Favorite Things' Block Happy Birthday. I die cut it from brown embossed cardstock. To get it straight I adhered the negative part of the die cut to the card with non permanent adhesive and used it as a guide. I used dimensional adhesive to glue down the letters to get a floating look.
That finsihed up my clean and simple card! The colouring process took some time but the rest of the card came together quickly.
Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend.

Birthday Chicks
Hey stampers, Anni here!
Today's birthday card is featuring My Favorite Things' Birthday Chicks, a super cute set!
I started with a rectangle of white cardstock. As I wanted to use My Favorite Things' Block Happy Birthday die I laid it down as a placeholder for the sentiment. I stamped as many birthday chicken around as I could. For the stamping I used My Favorite Things' Extreme Black Hybrid Ink.
I coloured the birds with alcohol marker, mainly in yellow and for the "accessoires" I used various shades of pink.
Then I die cut the sentiment from the same panel. That way I made sure to get the spacing right when I glued it back on the the card. I die cut the sentiment several times from white cardstock and stacked them up. The last layer of the letters I coloured with the same pink colours I used for the images.
For the finishing touch I added some details with a white and a black gel pen and then I assembled the card!
