Purrthday Party

Today I have a sweet 1st birthday card to share, featuring the adorable kitties from Lawn Fawn's Meow You Doin'.

I began by cutting a piece of white card to be the same size as my card base. On this, I used the Neat and Tangled Balloon stencil and distress oxide inks to add a rainbow of balloons across the top. I flicked the panel with some gold paint for some pretty splatters - almost like confetti falling.

In the middle of the panel, I die cut a MFT stitched star peekaboo window. I used a star shaker pouch and some pretty sequins to create a shaker, adhering the panel to the card base. I love the shaker pouches as they make shaker cards so quick and easy to do.

Next, I stamped and coloured some images from the Lawn Fawn Meow You Doin stamp set, then die cut them out. I adhered these to the card, adding some party hats and toys for the cats.

Finally, I added some die cut glitter stars and hearts, plus a '1' on top of the shaker star.

Have a lovely day,
Gemma

Birthday Balloons

Hi everyone, Taheerah here wishing you a happy Thursday!

After cake, balloons are probably my favourite thing about birthday parties. That and presents. Oh and singing Happy Birthday. Okay I just love birthdays.

Anyway, seeing as I balloons I really wanted to pull out the Neat & Tangled Balloon Duo Stencil and create a balloon-filled card using metallic tones:

Fun right? Metallics for the win!

I used both of the stencils with Nuvo Embellishment Mousses, rubbing the colour on with my finger. I repeated the same process with liquid adhesive then applied some Nuvo Rose Gold Glitter. Drool...

I drew on some strings and splattered on some mist, then tried to decide on a sentiment. It occurred to me that the Lil' Inker Designs Birthday Balloon Greetings stamp set might pair perfectly with my stencilled balloons and was thrilled to see it did! I stamped it with black ink and fussy cut it out, then adhered it in place with dimensional glue gel for just a hint of dimension.

I'd love to hear what you think of this card. Is there someone you know who'd love to receive it? Thanks for stopping by!
