Dashing Through The Snow

Hello, it's Liz here today. I have a super quick, easy and fun card to share. One that could be 'dashed' off during a bulk cardmaking session. The white piece of cardstock was run through my die cutting machine using My Favorite Things Stitched Strip Dienamics.

Then I stamped, coloured and trimmed around the Avery Elle Dashing stamp. I stamped both sentiments above the stitched lines, I love how they follow the shape of the tree and the car.

Then all the elements were fixed to the card using foam pads for dimension. I added sequins from the Full of Love Sequin Mix to represent the snow (and I thought that top corner was looking a bit bare!)

Thanks for stopping by today, happy crafting!

Curious Cat

Today I have a cute card to share, featuring some lovely MFT products.

Cool Cats is an older set from MFT and I just love these sweet images. Included in the set is the cat face with another image showing the same cat shown in full from the back. These can be used together, to make the card inside a part of the scene.

I began by trimming down an A6 card base. I want the card to still fit in a standard C6 envelope, so the card needs to be shorter to allow for the cat at the top.

On another piece of card, I die cut the MFT Stitched Strip dienamic to add some interest. I left space at the bottom for a stamped sentiment from the Cool Cats stamp set.

I die cut some small paw prints from the panel, using the MFT Paw Prints die set, then layered a piece of patterned paper behind the panel and added both to my card base.

Next, I coloured the stamped images of the cats, then adhered the top of them together with liquid glue. I positioned them over the top of the card, then added more liquid glue to stick them down. To give the cat on the inside something to stand on, I added a strip of the same patterned paper under his feet.

At this point, I felt like the card was missing something. I thought I’d give the cat something to be looking at, so I added the fish bowl above the sentiment as a finishing touch.

Have a lovely day,
Gemma

Happy Balloons

I have a birthday card to share today, featuring the fabulous C&9th Happy Balloons stamp set and dies.

I started by die cutting a rounded rectangle frame. On the rectangle, I added die cut stitching details and then blended on some pinks inks for an ombré look. I adhered the frame and rectangle on a card base.

I stamped some balloons in different colours, adding details with embossing. I used the matching dies to cut them out, then layered them on the card with foam tape.

I tied some gold thread to each balloon and adhered the ends to the card base.

I die cut a banner and stamped a sentiment from the stamp set, then folded it along the score lines and adhered the ends to the card base. The middle part isn't adhered so it adds some nice dimension.

Finally I added some sequins from my craft stash to finish the card.

Have a lovely day,
Gemma

Musical Birthday

Hello and thanks for joining me. Today I have a musical card to share with you.

On a piece of white card, I used the MFT Stitched Strip die-namic to create a musical staff for the notes to sit upon.

I chose the 'Happy Birthday To You' sentiment from the Altenew Birthday Greetings stamp set, adding it above the stitched lines on the card. As this stamp set is out of stock currently, I've also linked to some great alternatives below.

I die cut the MFT Musical Notes from different glitter card stocks, and arranged them on the card so the notation suggests the first line of the song, 'Happy Birthday To You'.

Finally, I trimmed down the panel and attached it to a white A6 card base.

Have a lovely day,
Gemma

Blue Ombre Birthday

I have a fun and easy birthday card to share with you today. Can anyone tell I'm over making Christmas cards?

I started by blending a blue ombré background on watercolour card with distress inks. I flicked it with lots of water to add some distressed details.

Next, I ran the it twice through my die machine with the MFT Stitched Strip Die-namics to cover the card. I love this die-namic - it's perfect for adding detail to a background.

I attached the background to a top folding A6 card, then moved on to the sentiment. I wanted a big bold sentiment on this card, so decided the Neat & Tangled Celebrate stamp set and coordinating dies would be perfect.

I die cut the 'Celebrate' from blue glitter paper. To help it stand out against the blue background, I added a white die cut shadow behind it. I then heat embossed a greeting in white on black card, and cut down to fit on the card.

To finish, I added some glitter stars, die cut using the smaller dies from the MFT Stitched Strip die-namics set.

This card is easy to make in your favourite colours, and the Neat & Tangled Celebrate stamp set has lots of sentiment options for different occasions.

Have a lovely day,
Gemma
