DIY Hanging Planter

Hello there, it's Jenny here again and my card today features a floral hanging plant which has been made using various stamp sets...

What sparked this idea was the round bottomed pot in Waffleflowers Spice Garden stamp set... I figured it would look good as a hanging pot and remembered the dotted pattern stamp in Avery Elle's Indigo set which would make a good macrame or chain style of hanger!
Now, the dotted border stamp does come as a strip of three on the one piece so I just cut a strip off carefully with my scissors... they can easily fit back together again.

I stamped and water-coloured the pot and did the same with leaves and flowers from Altenew's Doodle Blooms and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I cut a slit in the top of the pot so I could tuck the greenery down inside. Here's how I stamped the plant pot holder and arranged the leaves. The dotted border stamp is easy to curve and follow the shape of the pot and I used masking to help stamp the shorter pieces of the pattern.

I added a few flowers which are stamped in Altenews Limestone ink and just a touch of grey watercolour to give them a bit of shape and definition...

For the backdrop I added loose watercolour in shades of yellow distress ink with the smooshing technique and when it was dry I stamped the dotted border again to make the hanging chain/macrame. The sentiment is from Avery Elle's Fuchsia stamp set which I thought was quite a nice phrase for any occasion.

Dotty Fiesta Thank You Card

Hi everyone, Taheerah here wishing you a happy Thursday!

Bright, fiesta colours are a great way to carry a celebratory feel in to your designs! Whether it's a party or a congratulations, bringing a bit of Mexican flair can really get the celebrations started!

I decided to go with something other than the fringe look for fiesta cards and turned to patterns of dots instead! The Avery Elle Indigo stamp set is a really versatile one for creating backgrounds and accents, and so I decided to pair it and fiesta colours for a bright and funky Thank You card:

How funky is that?!

I stamped the rows of dots repeatedly in a range of fiesta colours! As there are several rows to each stamp it took no time at all to fill up a card front!

The Thank You speech bubble is one of the standalone stamps from the Concord & 9th Many Thanks Turnabout stamp set. I thought it was the perfect finishing touch for this card to hurry on up to party!

I'd love to hear what you think of this card. Is there someone you know who'd love to receive it? Thanks for stopping by!
