May Challenge Winners

There's been a lot going on around here this week both inside and outside of the store so the challenge post is running a little late - apologies.  The new challenge for June will follow shortly but first let's deal with our winners from our triple colour challenge which had some amazing entries!

Our overall winner this month was RainyDayWishes with her wonderfully whimsical fairground scene.  We loved the inventiveness of the design and the colour combo really stood out!

Our runners up in no particular order are:

Nonni with her beautiful bold floral card - we particularly loved the soft embossed sentiment which really elevated this classy card into something quite special.

 Wendy - we loved the shimmering pastel sea and seagulls look so much prettier in pink!!!

 Milla's card really stood out in the gallery too - that black frame draws the eye straight to the focal floral arrangement and is a great example of how to use images over decorative papers.

We also really loved the soft pastels in Laura's lovely new baby card - the little splashes of colour in the background add a fun twist.

April Challenge Winners

Sketch challenges can often be a little tricky but you all seemed to have had lots of fun with ours this month - we had some superb entries!

This month our winner is Maria with her gorgeous koi card!  We thought Maria's use of the sketch was very clever - there is lots of movement and bold colour - all in all a super-fun card!

Our runners up also were really creative with the sketch.

Beatriz from Ink and Paw Prints made this really super cute ninja card - we loved how the central ninja is sliding down the string which forms the diagonals in the sketch in this card!

Gothic Lolita made this really bright and jolly kids birthday card and we loved how the created the diagonals by masking out areas in her gorgeous rainbow background stamping.

We loved how Charlotte used the rainbow to form her diagonals paired to perfection with the central rainy element complete with cute critter!

Embossing Challenge Winners

It seems you are all big fans of embossing as a technique as we had a record number of entrants in our challenge this month which meant it was even harder than normal to pick our winners.  We had a wide spread of entrants with both heat and dry embossing and you all really rocked it but as strong they all were we had to select some winners.

Our overall winner this month was Ashwini with the beautiful bold and bright take on white heat embossing with some great water colouring using Altenew's Golden Garden stamps.  Congrats Ashwini - message the store to get your £15 winners code.

Our runners up this month, in no particular order were Sarah, Lucie and Gemma.  We loved the allover golden embossing on Sarah's etched flowers, the bold dry embossing on Lucie's paired with the stars and sentiment in black to make it all pop, and fun water colour and white embossed design on Gemma's ice-cream card.
