Summer Sky

Hey stampers, Anni here!

Overhere in Germany we have a really cold and rainy summer - no fun at all. So I needed a little bit of sunshine on my card!

I have this really awesome set called Spring Showers by Lawn Fawn with stitched clouds and a sun - I LOVE it and I use it a lot. There are also rain drops but obviously I didn't want to use these!
I die cut the sun from yellow and the clouds from white cardstock.
To create a sky to put my sun and my clouds on I used inks and water and smooched these onto my paper.

While the background dried I stamped a tiny bird from the set Hello Sunshine also by Lawn Fawn and coloured it in pink.

To make it a birthday card I die cut a balloon from Paper Smooches Balloons set from patterned paper.
I arranged the images on a card panel and tied a thread to the balloon and to the bird's beak.

For the sentiment I chose one from Lawn Fawn's Tiny Tags Saying: Birthday.

  1. Gorgeous little card. A real touch of sunshine on a cloudy day! Inspiration enough for me to want to invest in the stamps and dies.

  2. cute card :) What did you do to the clouds, they seem to have some sort of glitter on them ? :)

    1. Thanks for your kind words!
I used some glitter glue on the clouds!

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment - we hope the blog inspires your creativity.
