Hi everyone, Taheerah here wishing you a happy Thursday!
I have been desperately clinging on to what little Summer we've had in the UK. It's been nice to have some sunshine but I'm really craving some tropical heat!
Seeing as a trip to an exotic island isn't on the cards right now, I decided to recreate my wanderlust in card form using the awesome
Waffle Flower Greenery dies:
Doesn't this take your mind on a trip to a Miami skyline?! I'm there already!
I die lots of leaves and then coloured them to the shades of green I wanted. It's a really useful trick if you don't have a million different colours of cardstock! I did the same with my background too, but blending a couple of shades of ink together to give that pale pink/lavender hue.
I have found the Altenew Bold Alphabet dies to be such a fantastic staple in my collection! I die cut my letters from both black and white cardstock, and adhered the black letters underneath for just a touch of depth and interest.
I love the bold statement these alphas make! No stamps at all on this card - shocking, right?!
I'd love to hear what you think of this card. Is there someone you know who'd love to receive it? Thanks for stopping by!
Summer on a card...love it x
