Our niece and nephew had a lovely autumn wedding 10 years ago with the bride in a stunning burgundy gown so to celebrate their anniversary I made a cute little autumn anniversary card using the oh so cute Hedgie and Foxy from Stamping Bella.
I stamped and coloured it with pencils and cut it with the co-ordinating die. To tie in the burgundy and autumnal theme I added a double layer of hearts using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hearts dies from burgundy card and some dark brown wooden patterned paper from the Knock on Wood pad.
I finished with a scripty congrats also from Lawn Fawn and a stitched embossed line around the outside which I traced over with a red glitter marker. The Lil' Inker Stitched Mats Square die set is great for this as the largest die just embosses and doesn't cut.
NEWS FROM THE STORE
The biggest news is that store activity this month is likely to be a little interrupted as we will be moving before the end of November. Whilst it may seem like we are huge store with a big team, we actually run the entire store just between my husband and I from our small terraced house (without even a garage!) and we have been struggling with stock in literally every room bar the kitchen for the last year or so. We have been looking for a suitable new house with outbuildings we can convert into an office space for a couple of years and we finally found one in June this year but it's taken us until last week to actually "buy" it! Over the next few weeks therefore we will be very busy with getting everything set up so we can move in with as little interruption to the business as possible but some degree of difference in our normal service levels is inevitable this month I am afraid. We have meetings this week with the removal men and once we've got a confirmed plan we will let you all know as there will be a few days when the store is fully closed as we just cannot manage orders whilst we pack and move and there are essential website updates that can only be done when the store is fully offline. We will keep it to the minimum we can possibly manage but if there are things you are desperate for, please ensure you order them before the closure. We will be running the business from the within the new house itself again for at least a good few months whilst we sort out planning and the conversion of the outbuildings but once we have those than we will be able to slowly begin to expand our brands again for some of those other items you keep asking for.
We will still have new releases coming this month and will get them online as and when we can around all the planning we need to complete for the move. We have some restocks coming too but have held back on ordering some restocks to avoid having too much more to pack! We have the following coming in the next week or two:
Thanks
Tara

Thanks so much for the updates Tara. Wishing you all the very best with the move. I've moved home about 10 times in the past 20 years or so, so I know how stressful it can be and that was without trying to move a business too. All the best.
ReplyDeleteHello Tara
ReplyDeleteSuch an interesting letter, I didn't realise your premises were so small, you are so efficient with your posting, etc !
Good Luck with the move
