A Carrot Uprising

Did you know it's International Carrot Day??... Well you do now ;)

I didn't know either until a couple of days ago and I'm not sure what the point is of these annual recognition days, but if nothing else it gave me inspiration to make this card ...

These little veggie characters from Lawn Fawn are just cute enough but giving them arms and legs takes the cuteness level up one more notch in my book.  They're a cheerful bunch and it seems they have the recipients best interests at heart too :)

The whole scene is set on a stitched rounded rectangle and I've tucked the carrots into the soil layer which has been cut using a border die from Paper Smooches. Behind them is a layer of grass and then the blue sky with a few clouds stamped in white pigment ink.

The carrots legs are from the paper Smooches Build a Bug dies and the arms are from Fruit People dies... I cut them in white card and sponged on the same colour ink so they would match the rest of the carrot :) The small speech bubbles from Mama Elephants Small Talk work so well with these veggies too.

We're are hoping for a carrot uprising of our own in the next few weeks having just sown seed this weekend in the allotment.... don't groan but we're going to need a little bit of rain to help them ;)

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day x
